Aloe Vera:

Green like freshly watered grass in the summer, like the forests up north. Succulent

leaves like octopus legs, reaching out to grab you, also like long thin slices of pizza.

The pointy tips are as sharp as razor blades ready for an attack at any time. The base

is like children all on the same path and they all slowly grow older and spread out from

the people around them. The small stem in the middle is like your one friend that hasn’t

changed at all. The succulent leaves all together like a team ready to perform at their best.

Droopy Pear Cactus:

The structure reminds me of the craziness in life and how we all go through it together

whether we realize it or not.. The inconsistency makes me think of how everyone’s on a

different path in life. The spikes remind me of having a guard up around people we don’t

know. The dry spots on this plant are like people aging and their hair graying. The green

spots remind me of holding on to our younger selves. The few outliers on this plant make

me think of growing up and moving away from the people closest to you.
